April 24 is an important day in the life of the Coopersville United Methodist Church. Everyone is invited to participate as we discern the future God has planned for us. Your church needs you to make the process work. The gathering begins at 8:30 a.m. at the church with food and fellowship.

We will take our May 19, 2009 Vision Statement and create a strategic action plan that will guide us over the next 5 years. The 2009 Vision Statement leads us to this purpose statement: "We are building a Christian community of faith centered on church, people and programs." Followers of Jesus Christ have a clear purpose. We are to reach out to the people in our community in compassionate, loving ways so that people without any current interest in following Jesus might want to become part of His faith community.

There are three questions that Adam Hamilton believes every church must continually answer in order to be a vital church.

1. Why do people need Jesus?

2. Why do people need the church?

3. Why do people need your particular church?

These are the questions that the Coopersville United Methodist Church needs to address for us to reach out to the non-religious and nominally-religious people of our community.
